PREPARATION OF THE AORTA

1. Definitely good T-ing or transection

ANASTOMOSIS

1. Parachute: 2/1 and then pulling down and tight
2. Short bites
3. Bites out-in to the aorta if in-out not possible
4. If Teflon felt is needed, the stitch should contain graft-aorta-felt
