According to a study by D’Oria et al published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery last year, the median wait time until implantation of a custom-made design graft is 106 days, in Sweden. During this period, 16 adverse events occurred, ten aneurysms ruptures, and 6-non aneurysm related deaths, indicating a 6.3% of major adverse events.
Isn’t it correct to include this rate in the overall perioperative risk besides the usual perioperative risk per se, as well?
